Understanding Modified Two-Slit Experiments Using Path Markers

چکیده
Some modified two-slit interference experiments were carried out showing an apparent paradox in wave–particle duality. In a typical such experiment, the screen, where pattern is supposed to be formed, replaced by converging lens. The lens forms images of two slits at spatially separated detectors. It was claimed that each these detectors give information about which slit photon came from, even though they come from region interference. These generated lot debate. various refutations pointed controversial claims involved some questionable assumptions. However largely philosophical nature, and one may like substantiate those with arguments are testable, least principle. Here experiment theoretically analyzed introducing path markers orthogonal polarization states photon. Analyzing shows photons rise interference, reach particular detector, always both slits. This provides clarity understanding making use testable quantum correlations.

A Modified Path of Steepest Ascent for Split-Plot Experiments
I NDUSTRIAL experiments often involve two types of factors: those that are hard to change and those that are easy to change. The experiments are performed by fixing the levels of the hard-to-change factors and then running all or some of the combinations of the easy-to-change factor levels. Then, a new setting in the hard-to-change factors is selected and the process is repeated. With replicati...
متن کاملGeometry of Two-Slit Camera
We analyze the geometry of the two-slit camera and come to two conclusions. First, we show that the definition given by et al. [9] makes sense only if the two slits are not intersecting. Secondly, we prove that the complete image from a two-slit camera cannot be obtained as an intersection of the rays of the two-slit camera with a plane in space. Motivated by the quest for a unified representat...
متن کاملp-adic probability prediction of correlations between particles in the two-slit and neutron interferometry experiments
We start from Feynman‘s idea to use negative probabilities to describe the two slit experiment and other quantum interfernce experiments. Formally by using negative probability distributions we can explain the results of the two slit experiment on the basis of the pure corpuscular picture of quantum mechnanics. However, negative probabilities are absurd objects in the framework of the standard ...
متن کاملLoss of coherence in double-slit diffraction experiments
Coherence is an important building block in physics, common to optics and quantum mechanics. In classical optics, it simply implies a phase condition related to interference. Its lack is related to the nature of the source of light snonmonochromaticityd and/or the geometrical shape of the objects placed on the source-detector pathway f1,2g. In this sense, incoherence can be regarded as a “nondy...
متن کاملResolution criteria in double-slit microscopic imaging experiments
Double-slit imaging is widely used for verifying the resolution of high-resolution and super-resolution microscopies. However, due to the fabrication limits, the slit width is generally non-negligible, which can affect the claimed resolution. In this paper we theoretically calculate the electromagnetic field distribution inside and near the metallic double slit using waveguide mode expansion me...
